RV Rentals for the Mid-America Street Rod Nationals

The NSRA entry form says it in print: on site camping is not available. So the trailer goes to a park and you drive in.

Travel Trailer Rentals for the Street Rod Nationals in Springfield, MO

Pre-1997 Only, and Check In at a Hotel

The 2026 running was the 43rd annual, held in May at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, 3001 N. Grant Ave. Two things surprise first-timers. The vehicle rule is strict and printed in capitals on the entry form: only vehicles of 1996 and earlier manufacture are accepted for participation or entry. And registration is not at the fairgrounds at all, it is at the DoubleTree on North Glenstone Avenue, opening at noon on the Thursday before gates open. Spectator admission ran $20 for 13 and over, $6 for children 6 to 12, $45 for a family of five, and $18 for military, NSRA members and anyone 60 or over.

Half an Hour, and Where the Trailer Sits

The fairgrounds is 25 miles from Marshfield, about 30 minutes. Since nothing can camp on the grounds, we deliver to whichever area park you book, level the trailer, connect it and walk you through the systems. Call +1 417-241-1006 with the park address and your dates and we will hold a unit for that weekend.

Entrants ask whether we can put a trailer near the fairgrounds so the show car stays close. We cannot, and neither can anyone else: the sanctioning body rules out on-site camping for this event, so every rig is at a park and every car is driven in. The second thing we hold to is that we do not deliver on Thursday registration day. Registration happens at a hotel on North Glenstone rather than at the grounds, and both approaches clog. We come out Wednesday or early Friday.

Which of the Nine Suits a Car Weekend?

Friday to Sunday is the shape of this one, and Sunday is a half day with gates closing at 12:30pm, so most people book three nights. The Whimsical Wheelhouse is the one to mention here: a 2023 fifth-wheel sleeping eight at $175 a day, which is $525 across the weekend and the most comfortable thing we own. If that is more than you need, the Wayfarer sleeps eight at $135, the Serenity and Wanderlust sleep seven at the same rate, and the Hideaway is $130.

A fifth-wheel needs a bed-mounted hitch in a properly rated truck, which is precisely why we deliver it rather than hand you the keys. The same goes for the rest: nine units out of Marshfield, every one of them towed, no motorhomes. You bring whatever you drove, including the car you are showing, and we handle the trailer end of it.

The large bunkhouse travel trailer page covers the bigger sleepers and the small travel trailer page the compact ones. Weekend availability is on the Wild RV Ventures booking page.

Being straight about the grounds

Why Other Sites Get the Camping Wrong Here

A lot of pages about this event say the fairgrounds offers on-site camping. The confusion is understandable, because the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds does keep campgrounds and does accommodate campers during certain events. But NSRA's own entry form for this event settles it in four words: on site camping is not available. It then points entrants at the lodging guide for campground listings. That is the sanctioning body speaking about its own event, so it outranks a general fairgrounds policy.

Which makes the answer simple rather than disappointing. You book a campground or RV park anywhere around Springfield, we deliver the trailer there, and you drive ten or fifteen minutes to North Grant Avenue each morning. Spectator gates run 8am to 5pm Friday and Saturday and 8am to 12:30pm on Sunday, so it is a daytime event with evenings free.

No trailer parking or oversize vehicle guidance is published for the event either, on the entry form or the spectator page. If you are towing a show car on a trailer, that is a question for NSRA before you arrive rather than something we can answer for you. What we can tell you is that your rented trailer will not be anywhere near the fairgrounds, which removes the problem entirely.

Booking a show weekend

Four steps when the grounds are closed to campers

Step 01
Check NSRA for this year's dates

It has run on Memorial Day weekend, but NSRA posts the next year's schedule over the winter and 2027 is not up yet. Take the date from nsra-usa.com, not from an older page.

Step 02
Book an area park

Anywhere around Springfield with trailer access. There is no on-site option at this event, so this step is not optional and the good parks go first on a show weekend.

Step 03
Call with the park address

Ring +1 417-241-1006. Three nights is the usual booking, and tell us the headcount so we are not sending a nine-berth to a couple.

Step 04
We set up, you show the car

We tow it to the park, level it and connect it. You register at the DoubleTree on Thursday and drive to North Grant Avenue from Friday morning.
