Travel Trailer Rentals for Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO

A Season, Not a Single Weekend

This is a venue rather than one event, and the 2026 season ran from late March to the second week of October. The anchor is the Show-Me 100 on Memorial Day weekend, a $75,000-to-win hundred-lap main event, with the Diamond Nationals in July, the Show-Me Shootout in August and the Big Buck 50 and Fall Nationals closing things out in October. The track is a 3/8 mile semi-banked dirt oval with grandstand and VIP seating totalling nearly 8,000. Address is 18842 Speedway Drive, Wheatland, MO 65779.

An Hour and a Half From Marshfield

Wheatland is 64.9 miles from us, about 1 hour 32 minutes. We tow the trailer to your reserved spot, level it, connect water and electric where your site has them, and walk you through the tanks and systems. Ring +1 417-241-1006 with your race weekend and your site number once you have booked through the track.

What people most want to know is whether we can get a unit in before the gates open on a race weekend. We cannot go early. The track opens its campground the day before the event and not a day sooner, so that is the window and we work inside it. The second rule is that we need to know whether you landed a powered spot or ended up dry, because it changes which unit comes and how we prep the tanks. Seventy-four powered sites exist. Book through the track, then ring us.

Nine Units, and One of Them Is a Toy Hauler

The Carbon Cruiser is the one worth naming first here, because it is a 2017 toy hauler sleeping six at $130 a day, and a toy hauler at a dirt track is not an accident. The Freedom Finder sleeps nine at $140 and is the biggest sleeper we have, which suits a crew rather than a family. Most of the travel trailers run $135, and the Whimsical Wheelhouse fifth-wheel sleeps eight at $175.

A race weekend is typically three or four nights, so the Carbon Cruiser across a Thursday-to-Sunday Show-Me 100 run comes to $390. Everything out of Marshfield is towed, not driven, so you turn up in your own vehicle and the trailer is already sitting on your spot. For a track where the campground opens the day before the event, that matters: we can have it in place before you finish work.

Compare the bigger units on the large bunkhouse travel trailer page and the smaller ones on the small travel trailer page, then check your weekend on the Wild RV Ventures booking page.

Camping at the track

Where Do You Camp at the Track?

The track publishes its inventory per event: 74 RV spots with power and water, 5 with power only, 25 reserve dry spots, and many acres of dry camping beyond that for RVs and tents. There are a further 38 spots on the south side by Lake Lucas, which the track describes as the world's first purpose-built drag boat racing lake. Against a grandstand seating close to 8,000, the powered sites are plainly the scarce thing, and they are the ones to chase.

Rates on the track's camping page are $20 a night dry, $30 reserve dry, and $50 reserved electric and water, each up to six people with $5 a night per extra head. Be aware the track's dirt track page still shows older figures of $15, $25 and $40; the camping page is the current one. Booking is online through Firefly Reservations or by phone on 417-295-6043. All reserved sites are paid in advance with no refunds, and the campground opens the day before the event starts.

Two things the track does not publish, which we are not going to invent. There is no amperage figure anywhere on the site, so we cannot tell you whether a powered site is 30 or 50 amp. And there is no sewer at the sites. What there is instead is a six-stall drive-through dump station provided at no cost to campers, plus an on-site shower house. No rig length limit is published either, so if yours is a concern, ask on 417-295-6043 before you book.

Booking a race weekend

Four steps to a trailer on your spot

Step 01
Pick your weekend from the schedule

The season runs late March to mid October. The Show-Me 100 over Memorial Day weekend is the big one, and it is the hardest spot to get, so decide early.

Step 02
Book the campsite through Firefly

Reserve online through the track's Firefly Reservations link or call 417-295-6043. Go for electric and water at $50 if any are left, since 74 of those exist against a near 8,000 grandstand.

Step 03
Send us the spot details

Ring +1 417-241-1006 with your site and dates. Tell us if you landed on dry camping, because that changes which unit we send and how we prep the tanks.

Step 04
We arrive the day before

The campground opens the day before the event, so we tow it in then, level it, connect what your spot offers and leave it ready. You turn up when you finish work.
